Proton Electric Vehicle Concept - X

this weekend i had enough time to come up with a digital rendering of my idea on an electric vehicle concept for proton. anyway it just going with the hype that proton shall be showing its green car concept at Geneva this march.

abit of my design review for this concept...

the base of this model shall be from the savvy platform but with a shorter wheelbase and bigger rim size (about 17 inch). the h-point seating position is abit heigher just like in many wagon k-kar (such as Perodua Kenari). it is a coupe 2+2 seating arrangement. the rear seat is good enough for small children but not well enough to fit a big adult person.

the front light cluster is taken from the Peugeot '5' concept car alike and the rear light cluster is taken from the Peugeot BB1 concept car. the overall design that im trying to show is a look of a small cub tiger that is pleasing for the younger market and got female attraction toward its sexy curvy lines. there are no center pillar and the glass room is been made like a capsule to strengthen it.

the electric mobile parts shall been placed at the front short overhang and each wheel shall have its on electric motors (AWD). the driving sensation shall be zippy and fun with good acceleration. this car is made for inner city usage only.

Proton Savvy Cross Concept 'digital rendering'

well since at malaysia it is Chinese New Year celebration, the whole country is in holiday mood and people are many on leave. for these free time i try to catchup again on my digital rendering on transport design which i had very few experience with (i usually only do character/concept design during my previous working place). u can see my digital painting at http://riderxriderx.deviantart.com/ .

this is my idea on the Savvy Cross Concept, the design flow is taken from my previous design (development 1) and i try to combine it with the italdesign did make for the Proton EV concept car (will be shown kata Geneva next month). the benchmark for this model was the Audi A1 and this model derives from the Proton Savvy production car bold and tough look. i try to spice it up with much more dynamic lines and making it more into premium value segment.

so tell me what do u guys think? ok or not? lol :D

Proton Savvy Cross Design review/words

As this is the early idea sketches for the Proton colabo with UiTM FSSR industrial design dept, i think it wont hurt to share this with the public because there is no solid design brief yet on what kind of styling or project focus by Proton and our lecturers.

for now im just going to gave a design review/words on my idea on "Savvy Cross Concept"

these are my ideas on redesigning the Proton hatchback car 'Savvy' to be much more into the premium segment of cars such as the Audi A1 and the Mini Cooper. My design on this Savvy so called 'Savvy Cross' is to create a base design that would gave birth to such coupe hatchback (variant S or GTi in some other car company), entry level small SUV (just like the BMW X1) and ur marketed 5-door comfy hatchback car.

The DNA n profilelistic of the current Savvy design is shown by the side profile of the car which have the bold front end and short overhang but the rear design is changed from the bold shell alike design to a much muscular look as we see in Suzuki Swift or Honda Jazz/Fit. The pillar design are taken from the Audi A1 which shown good solid and tough design (which is the same with the Savvy body frame strength) and a much more characteristic waist line is designed to make the car look more compact even so the wheel base is quite lenghted than the original savvy wheel base.

*the side profile sketch is quite not what i intended, the wheel base is too short but it got my ideas on how the profile should look like.
